The role We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Manager of People Operations & Rewards team to build the foundation that supports our people to thrive. This is a global role that will oversee our people systems, payroll, rewards, compliance, and people analytics—ensuring we scale with consistency, care, and clarity. You’ll lead and grow a team, manage vendor partners, and collaborate across our People & Culture function—as well as with organizational leaders and internal stakeholders—to design and operationalize a seamless employee experience.

    Main responsibilities :

    People Operations & Systems Own our HR tech stack (HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits) and drive process automation and optimization Design and streamline employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, offboarding, mobility, documentation Ensure data integrity and operational compliance across SEA markets Payroll, Total Rewards & Compensation benchmarking Oversee end-to-end global payroll processing across all markets we operate in which include for now Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Hong Kong (in-house and outsourced) Manage compensation philosophy, salary banding, and benefits programs Lead annual comp review cycles, pay equity audits, and employee cost forecasting Partner with Finance on workforce cost planning and modeling

    • Lead the design and evolution of performance appraisal frameworks.

    Regularly benchmark pay across SEA markets, ensuring competitiveness and efficiency. People Analytics Build and own the people data: attrition, headcount, engagement, cost metrics Provide insights and data to inform business and talent decisions Compliance & Policy Maintain HR compliance across key markets. Develop and standardize HR practices and ensure global alignment in the application of policies and procedures. Own HR policies, contracts, handbooks, and investigations Lead internal audits and mitigate people-related risk across the region Vendor & Partner Management Manage third-party payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR software vendors Evaluate, negotiate, and optimize service delivery and cost Leadership & Team Management Lead and grow a small high-impact People Ops team Partner closely with our Business Partners to create an integrated People function Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on people operations, comp, and risk Qualifications & Experience Minimally 6 years of HR experience, with some experience in a managerial role. Experience in Retail industry or leading through change in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with navigating new markets labour regulations and HR best practices Hands-on experience with HR platforms (ie. HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits). Proven experience in HRIS projects such as implementations, migrations, or process automation. Open to business travel visits to HQ (SG) and other markets. Experience in Business Partnering is a plus. Bachelor's degree and comfortable with numbers. You should have / be Strategic Partner: Aligns people strategy with business priorities. Operational Excellence: Ensures compliance, consistency, and reliability in all people operations—across payroll, benefits, policies, and systems Influential Communicator: Earns trust and credibility with the C-suite, managers, and team members. Able to influence, mediate, and drive alignment across levels Data-Informed: Uses people metrics to drive decisions around retention, engagement, workforce planning, and comp equity Builder and Growth Mindset: Thrives in ambiguity. Proactively creates structure, tools, and playbooks in a fast-changing environment. Believes in continuous learning and improvement Strong Judgment & Integrity: Navigates sensitive employee situations, nuanced issues, and conflict with empathy,emotional intelligence, and fairness Regional & Cultural Fluency: Understands labor laws, norms, and cultural differences across SEA and adapts policies and programs accordingly People Developer: Coaches leaders to lead better, and builds a strong, capable HR team with clear career paths and development plan Culture Champion: Brings values to life through rituals, leadership behaviors, and people programs. Guards and evolves company culture as the business grows
