The Role:


As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll ensure their software runs smoothly and reliably by validating that all user paths function as intended.


 

Responsibility areas:

  • Processes: You are accountable for quality assurance standards & processes of your team. You must be able to spread a quality mindset and make people understand that everyone own quality responsibility.

  • Agile practices: Their team works in an agile way and you will be part of the rituals and practices always looking for improvements.

  • Documentation: You document your work and make sure that your documentation is clear and understandable for future use by others. Also making sure that documentation processes rely on quality processes.

  • Testing: You execute manual and automated testing for their products. Once you have done the testing and analysis, you communicate your findings in a clear and constructive way with the development team, helping them improve their future work. You help develop best practices and quality standards and drive implementation amongst the teams.

  • Development: They expect you to actively participate in meetings and projects and to coordinate with your team members. They also expect you to continue to develop yourself and keep abreast of new developments.


 


About You:
You are a self-starter, who knows what to do. You enjoy peer-to-peer collaboration and take initiative to get involved with the team that you work with.


 


Requirements:



  • 3+ years of professional experience working as a QA Software Engineer.

  • You have great experience executing both manual and automated testing.

  • You have experience creating detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases. 

  • You have experience working with automated testing tools & framework implementation. 

  • They are currently using JavaScript, Selenium, Postman and Appium (If you have experience with those tools is definitely a plus).

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities

  • You know how to communicate with technical and non-technical people.

  • You are based in Portugal (mandatory)

  • Fluent in English

The Rewards

The salary brackets per month for this position is €2,087 - €3,131 gross in Portugal, R40,451 - R60,677 gross in South Africa, and Ksh216,053 - Ksh324,080 gross in Kenya. They will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
