Overview






The Service Depot technician is responsible for all service support activities in the Center of Excellence in Jüri, Estonia.

 

The role is essential to the delivery of the service and actively contributes to the success of the Field Service Engineers (FSE) by providing tools and materials. It is a hybrid activity of logistics and engineering. Approximately 2/3 of the work will be logistical and 1/3 technical, such as repairs of equipment. The focus is on the active management of the service depot, the supply of the FSE and the repair and maintenance of the systems in our facility.

The Service Depot technician may also on occasion (up to 20%) be required to travel to a customer site to provide the field team with additional support and attend the training required for execution of daily tasks.









Responsibilities






As Service Depot technician your main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Management of the Service depot in the Centre of Excellence in Estonia. This includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Ensuring orderly appearance and safe working environment.
    • Management of the stock through SAP, including cycle counts, stock transfers, processing of orders.
  • Coordinate with Back office and Service Management EU to manage preventative maintenance (PM) kits including kit assembly, stock levels and shipments to customer sites.
  • Management of Field Service engineers tools, including tracking calibrated tools, timely calibration of required tools in close cooperation with FSE.
  • Prepare, evaluate, repair, and test all Field Application Specialist demo systems and kits.
  • Work with Quality to receive returned goods under RMA and investigate as assigned by the complaint owner.
  • Support Service engineering with NPI and service readiness.
  • Independently finding solutions in close alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities and escalate issues as needed.
  • Other business-related tasks and assignments when necessary.








Qualifications






The successful candidate meets the following criteria:

  • Relevant Technical education (Electronics).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment, ideally used in laboratory or bioprocess settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • English and Estonian language skills.
  • Ability to execute SOPs and work instructions.
  • Previous experience with ERP and logistics is desired. Taking ownership and independently finding and implementing solutions.
