Senior ITO Contract Manager – GE Gas Power: Lead the development and negotiations of complex terms and conditions for turnkey and extended scope Gas Power Plant proposals, prime contracts, consortium agreements and construction subcontracts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead T&C negotiations with customers and consortium partners
  • Provide commercial contract T&C risk analysis, interpretation and develop alternatives to mitigate commercial risks
  • Develop consortium agreements with consortium partners
  • Prepare and negotiate GE construction subcontracts
  • Coordinate proposal input from insurance, logistics, finance and other disciplines
  • Represent GPS interests in customer and GE internal meetings
  • Report commercial risks, mitigation, and resolution to management via business segment risk reviews
  • Assist in development of successful bid structure and subcontracting strategies
  • Support KYC team on prequalification of potential consortium partners, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Capture return of experience and best practices from OTR and implement learnings to T&Cs of all bids.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Β Engineering, Law or other business / technical discipline

  • Minimum 10 years prior commercial contract administration, contract management and/or proposal development experience, or project management experience

  • Minimum 10 years terms and conditions analysis experience including the ability to recognize and assess impacts on project execution

  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability and willingness for up to 50% travel as required for consortium and customer negotiation

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum ten years prior commercial contract or project management experience with domestic and international customers

  • Previous power industry experience and knowledge, working with customers, consortium partners, prime contractors and construction subcontractors

  • Experience negotiating large dollar value commercial contracts, consortium agreements, construction subcontracts and claims

  • Turnkey contract and consortium agreement development experience

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills including preparation of presentation materials

  • Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English language)

  • Excellent working knowledge of customer, subcontractor, and supplier terms and conditions, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Language skills preferred (French, German, Spanish, or other)

  • Microsoft Word and Power Point proficiency

  • Strong planning, organizing and priority setting skills
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of Turnkey contract T&Cs and T&C drafting skills
  • Able to assess business risks during commercial negotiations
  • Insightful; able to collaborate with other business team members in developing strategies and implementing business plans
  • Strong people/team leadership and relationship building skills
