About the role:


We’re looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to help us build, optimize, maintain, and scale critical backend infrastructure in our AWS Cloud to support Data, AI and ML Initiatives in addition to our customer facing web applications. In this role you will be part of the Platform Services team and report directly to the Engineering Manager of Platform Services to improve our infrastructure and build tooling to support our development & data teams.

What you'll be doing:



  • Primarily operating as an AWS Cloud Infrastructure engineer supporting the provisioning, maintenance, testing, optimization, and security of the infrastructure stack leveraged by software, data, and machine learning engineers at Unbounce

  • Advocating for engineering best practices and principles as part of driving data product solutions into production

  • Work with our development teams to understand their needs and service them by building supporting tools that provide the greatest impact towards delivering customer value

  • Being a part of our on-call rotation with incident management for Infrastructure issues

  • Writing and maintaining documentation of existing systems, as well as proposals for new designs and solutions


 


A little about you:



  • 5+ years of experience in Devops or SRE roles with a focus on tooling, automation, & cloud infrastructure

  • 4+ years of experience with AWS, or equivalent, focusing on RDS, EKS, IAM, Lambda, S3, EC2, Elasticache, & Cloudfront

  • Experience with Containers, Docker, Kubernetes

  • Experience with Database configurations, performance tuning, and SQL

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Cloudwatch, etc)

  • Strong Linux server administration skills

  • Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Problem Analysis

  • Attention to Detail

  • Bonus: Experience with large-scale AWS cost-optimization projects

  • Bonus: Experience with AWS data-specific solutions including SageMaker, Redshift, & MSK
