The Finance & Administration team is looking for a qualified candidate to play a pivotal role in driving our accounting initiatives:

 

What you will do…

  • Manages the internal accounting staff.
  • Leads accounting operations, which includes financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Oversees the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.
  • Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Prepares business activity reports, financial reports, and annual budgets; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and/or financial reporting standards. 
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year and assists with the preparation of the corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Assists with retirement plan administration and annual audit.
  • Assists external auditors by providing required statements and information for audits.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.

 

What you bring…

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related studies
  • Required: 8 years of experience - with a background in general accounting
  • Required: assurance/audit leadership experience in public accounting
  • CPA Preferred
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Background in cash reconciliation and daily reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Practice Engine/IRIS software experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
