Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.


Job Description

  • Lead a team of developers and administrators to support and develop new solutions on various Salesforce platforms including Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Revenue Cloud, and Sales Cloud

  • Work closely with the North American development team to act as one team in supporting and delivering Salesforce functionality

  • Allocate team resources in conjunction with North American counterparts to ensure 24/7 support especially during upgrade/fixes

  • Oversee team development efforts, providing mentorship and technical guidance to ensure a high level of deliverable

  • Actively participate in daily scrum meetings and ensure tasks assigned to team members and self are completed on time to support project deliverables

  • Establish, deliver and refine a road map to ensure that CRM platforms and products remain current, deliver value and supports the needs of business stakeholders in terms of scalability, resilience, security, capacity and operational maintenance

  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities

  • Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals

  • Participate in design phases for medium to large projects/programs, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues

  • Design, develop and test programs of average to high complexity

  • Create and maintain documentation related to important support processes

  • Facilitate transition of applications from development to production

  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close

  • Resolve conflicts/issues of medium complexity and escalate to others as appropriate


Basic Requirements

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Configuration, Customization and development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components and Flow

  • Coach, mentor, review and provide technical leadership to the Salesforce Development team and their technical artifacts

  • Lead technical discussions and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Optimize managed application performance, focusing on efficient queries, bulk processing. and adherence to Salesforce Governor Limits.

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce B2B, CPQ and CRM capabilities. 

  • Experience with implementing Quote to Cash Solutions

  • Develop and integrate Salesforce apps and components with back-office systems using modern web tools and technologies.

  • Participate in the full application life cycle - design, development, testing, and deployment, providing guidance on best practices and innovative solutions

  • Design, develop and integrate Salesforce apps and components with back-office systems using modern web tools and technologies. 

  • Work with technical teams and architects to finalize architectural specifications and create solution and integration designs with estimates and reasonable timeline targets

  • Develop proofs of concept as needed during the design and requirements phase to evaluate products and integration strategies. 

  • Validate application code using unit tests, security tests, and profiling tools. 

  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments. 

  • Produce project documentation, including functional and technical designs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce development, plus 3 years of experience working as a manager or lead, or

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related major

  • Proficiency with Apex, Java or C#; SOQL or SQL; and Lightning Web Components or web development . 

  • Experience with modern IDEs, version control (Git), Agile tools (JIRA) and DevOps is desirable. 

  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies. Proficiency with data modeling. 

  • Advocates for and adheres to the usage of defined Coding Standards

  • Salesforce certifications are preferred but not required
