As a Regional Marketing Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving brand awareness and guest engagement across the properties in your region. You'll be a creative force, collaborating with various teams to develop and execute a winning regional marketing strategy aligned with our global vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Marketing & Planning
  • Lead the development of a region-specific marketing plan that aligns with the annual budget goals and the overall creative vision, collaborating with the department lead and team.
  • Implement global marketing and communication strategies within your region, tailoring them to resonate with the local market.
  • Identify revenue-generating opportunities and collaborate with other departments to bring them to life.
  • Ensure marketing resources are deployed effectively to achieve maximum return on investment (ROI).
  • Track expenses and manage your regional marketing budget.
  • Stay informed about current and future hospitality marketing trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Content Creation & Brand Advocacy
  • Lead the creation of high-quality content for social media and other marketing channels, showcasing the unique experiences offered by Mad Monkey Hostels.
  • Oversee photo and video shoots, ensuring a constant stream of fresh, brand-aligned content that captures the essence of Mad Monkey.
  • Champion Mad Monkey's core values in all marketing initiatives.

Social Media Management & Content Curation
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for the region, including content curation, posting, and monitoring interactions.
  • Identify and share high-quality articles relevant to the region's travel market on appropriate social media channels.
  • Analyze social media performance and adapt strategies accordingly to maximize engagement.

Content Marketing & SEO
  • Structure content to be SEO friendly based on target keywords, ensuring discoverability in search engines.
  • Maintain a content plan in the Marketing worksheet to structure content flow, communicate overall content strategy, and outline individual article plans.

Event Marketing & Guest Engagement
  • Suggest and implement new event marketing strategies where possible, aligning with the regional marketing plan and budget.
  • Work with operational teams to plan and execute engaging in-hostel events that resonate with the target audience.
  • Explore partnerships and sponsorships to enhance the event experience and reach a wider audience.
  • Measure the success of event marketing initiatives and adapt strategies for future events.

Social Media Campaigns & Collaboration
  • Work with the General Manager and Global team to develop and implement additional social media campaigns that expand reach and brand awareness beyond the region.

Communication & Collaboration
  • Act as a bridge between the global marketing team and regional operational teams, fostering seamless communication and ensuring in-hostel activities align with marketing efforts.
  • Participate in weekly briefings with the Marketing team and cross-departmental regional calls.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders to position Mad Monkey favorably in the region's market.
  • Liaise with approved sponsors and partners to drive deals and collaborations that benefit both parties.
  • Coordinate with marketing partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of campaigns and materials.

Operational Excellence & Growth
  • Conduct regular site audits and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing efforts at each hostel.
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to develop and execute pre-opening strategies for new hostels, ensuring successful launches.
  • Develop compelling marketing materials to maximize targeted exposure for each hostel, attracting ideal guests.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to propose revenue-boosting initiatives that enhance the guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in hospitality marketing or a relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of the region's travel, events, and tour market
  • Content creation skills
  • Experience with social media marketing, including content curation and community management
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
