Summary: 

Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC is seeking aPublic Health Analyst II to work within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position will support global programs and preparedness activities across NCIRD. Most of this work will be performed remotely and assist the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is the nation's premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Public Health Analyst II will report to Goldbelt Professional Services’ leadership to ensure the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client.  

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support NCIRD and CDC leadership with operational coordinators that manage the day-to-day operations requirements for a response from team through Chief of Staff. 
  • Develop discussion- based exercises. These include seminars, workshops, tabletop exercises (TTXs). 
    • This includes drills, functional exercises, and full-scale exercises. 
  • Schedule planning meetings to include the concept development, initial, middle, and final planning meetings. 
  • Coordinate attendees for these meetings and the execution of the event. 
  • Develop the briefing products for each of these meetings and the execution of the event. 
  • Assist in the development of scenarios for tabletop exercises, functional, and full-scale exercises. 
  • Develop all necessary exercise documents and recruit volunteers (internal and external) to participate in events. 
  • Develop and coordinate logistical components in support of exercises and training events. 
  • Provide input to post-exercise assessment of strengths and areas for improvement. 
  • Provide presentations and briefings on exercise design and function to senior leadership. 
  • Prepare After Action Reports/Improvement Plans for each exercise event. Monthly activity reports.
  • Support NCIRD and CDC leadership in response staffing. This consists of recruiting, tracking, inputting the individuals in CDC- Responder and informing the leadership when replacements are needed. 
  • Coordinate the development of materials such as plans, instructions, and other documents to support the preparedness tools. 
  • Provide technical monitoring for tools developed by NCIRD. 
  • Assist with the following as needed: 
    • The review and approval of response documents through clearance coordinators. 
    • Utilize and maintain clearance tools to manage documents in the clearance process. 
    • Provide instructional guidance to responders for requesting functional roles. 
    • Maintain response taskings using the task tracker tool and staffing plans using the staffing tool. 
    • Manage the weekend/holiday On-Call roster and coordinate with the EOC when necessary. 
    • Collaborate with the respective budget manager to ensure the spend plan remains updated. 
    • Establish and maintain MS Teams sites, providing initial training as necessary.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to assist in preparing and reviewing reports and presentations. 
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Able to collaborate with internal and external CDC partners. 
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Proficiency in using coordination tools, staffing tools, and clearance tools. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders within NCIRD and CDC leadership. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or related discipline. 
  • Experience in managing travel logistics and budget coordination for large teams. 
  • Experience in data analysis and report presentation for public health programs or projects. 
  • Proven experience in public health operations and staffing management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing public health data. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Clearance.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s with 0-2 years' experience in Public Health 
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment. 

The pay range for this position is $95,000.00-$106,500.00 Annually.
