Overview:
The Solar Project Developer will be responsible for the comprehensive development of solar energy projects from site identification to commissioning. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and financial acumen to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong background in renewable energy development.
Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site assessments to determine project feasibility.
- Analyze solar resources, land suitability, and potential environmental impacts.
- Negotiate land leases or purchases.

- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineers and designers to create optimal solar system layouts.
- Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with landowners, local authorities, utility companies, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and lead community engagement meetings.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

- Develop and manage project budgets and financial models.
- Identify and secure project financing and investments.
- Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures.

Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee project construction, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues.
- Coordinate with the operations team for project commissioning and handover.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced degree in a related discipline is a plus.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in solar project development or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering solar projects.
