About the job

This position is needed to  craft and deliver a vision for Twilio’s analytics and machine learning integrations with our Messaging Data Platform. Twilio is looking for a Product Manager to join the Messaging Data Platform product team of our Communications business unit. You will understand the needs of internal and external customers to offer a data access platform that empowers Twilio’s business to effectively build products on Twilio’s most important dataset at global scale. Working side by side with other product managers and engineering counterparts, you will collaborate to craft and deliver on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for messaging data at Twilio.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Play a key role in defining and executing Twilio’s transition towards a data mesh.
  • Take ownership of Twilio’s messaging core datasets.
  • Collaborate with data consumers to understand their needs and ensure that your data products align to effectively and efficiently address a broad set of business requirements.
  • Track and optimize return on investment for core data products.

Required:

  • Strong analytical background. 
  • Familiarity with big data layout and querying tradeoffs.
  • The ability to understand and write SQL.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Desired:

  • Experience delivering and evolving data products.
  • Familiarity with lakehouse technologies (Hudi, Iceberg, and/or DeltaLake).
  • Familiarity with ETL and machine learning workloads on big data.
  • Familiarity with AWS big data and machine learning offerings.

Location

 This role will be based in our Tallinn, Estonia office or remotely in Estonia.

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 5% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.
