As a Product Architecture role, you will assume a technical architecture and leadership position tasked with developing product specifications and overseeing the product development process for the Mad Monkeys website, mobile app, data structure, and conversational booking engine. Your primary objective is to ensure the delivery of specifications into a functional product.

Your responsibilities include researching, defining, and mapping new product features and functions to our bookings and data capture process from the ground up in a new build. This requires technical expertise to integrate desired product features into a cohesive and functional product, as informed by market research benchmarking against competitors and available solutions.

Effective communication skills are paramount, enabling you to gather stakeholder product requests, prioritize them, and translate them into working product architecture. You will then shepherd the product through to delivery.

Additionally, you will oversee and facilitate product evolution to ensure the product architecture aligns with requirements. This involves ensuring that design and development teams adhere to the product plan and deliver, as well as continually improving upon, the functional product in accordance with the Scrum process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Mapping product functions and features, clearly explaining its objectives.
  • Serving as a product manager by communicating product information to team members and supervisory parties.
  • Defining overall product architecture ensuring interoperability with key bookings systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Defining the data collection, storage and usage strategy in a way that drives enterprise value from transactions and improved loyalty or personalization.
  • Deliver a mobile, web, conversational interface to our core booking systems.
  • Architect an elegant transaction process that ensures maximum transaction value with upsells, downsells and cross sells.
  • Ensure adequate tracking via analytics data that drives insight for the stakeholders.
  • Lead global resource planning and execution, ensuring the right blend of commercial technology, in-house development, and outsourced services deliver rapid time-to-value.
  • Set, manage and review DevOps team performance through the OKR framework & Global Incentives schemes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the booking process.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strategic competitive edge in utility of the product, the speed of product use and successive development.
  • Confer with customers and stakeholders to improve the product in line with a Scrum / XP development framework.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in mapping product functions and features while effectively articulating their objectives.
  • Strong product management skills, adept at communicating product information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in defining comprehensive product architectures ensuring seamless interoperability with key booking systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge in devising data collection, storage, and utilization strategies to enhance enterprise value and foster customer loyalty and personalization.
  • Proven track record in delivering user-friendly interfaces across mobile, web, and conversational platforms integrated with core booking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to design sophisticated transaction processes maximizing value through strategic upsells, downsells, and cross-sells.
  • Experience in implementing robust analytics solutions for comprehensive tracking and actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Leadership proficiency in global resource planning and execution, optimizing the balance between commercial technology, in-house development, and outsourced services to achieve rapid time-to-value.
  • Skilled in setting, managing, and evaluating DevOps team performance utilizing frameworks such as OKRs and global incentive schemes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the booking process domain.
  • Proven capability in maintaining a strategic competitive advantage through product utility, speed, and iterative development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effectively collaborating with customers and stakeholders to enhance product development within a Scrum/XP framework.
