Our client is an Australian company specializing in advertising services. They offer a one-stop-shop approach that includes content creation, graphic design, printing, and distribution of materials such as flyers, leaflets, brochures, and banners. Their experienced team handles every aspect of advertising campaigns, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Our client is looking for a well-rounded Pre-Press Operator. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small fast-paced team producing high quality work, often for large well-known brands, Government and Corporate, branding, or promotional campaigns.

Overall Responsibilities:

Artwork: 35%

• Flight checking
• Amending files
• Graphic Design
• Liaise with sales/client on briefs
• Proofing

Prepress: 35%

• Preparing file for printing
• Amending files for printing
• Liaise with printer for jobs
• Engage outsource supplier

Admin: 20%

• Monitoring Email boxes
• Follow Up
• Huddles

Continued Learning: 10%

• Referring to knowledge base / previous orders for specific jobs ie outsource

Maintenance: 5% (this is ad hoc and may only occur 1-2 times a year)

• Updating programs when required

• Must already hold a pre-press position in a print company.
• Experience within a sheetfed or digital print organization will have a distinct advantage.
• However, candidates from a wide format or packaging background should also apply.
• Knowledgeable with programs such as Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• Solid exposure outputting to Offset Printing Presses, Digital Presses, and wide-format inkjet devices.
