Our Sales team gains an understanding of who our customers are, what their businesses do, and how Jobber can help them succeed, to turn leads into advocates.

This team is focused on delivering on the promise to make small businesses more successful, and they celebrate, motivate, and challenge each other daily. They also want to see each other be successful, through regular 1:1’s which focus on performance, coaching, and long-term development - which is where this role comes in.

The role: 

As the Manager, Sales you are responsible for leading and managing a team of full cycle salespeople. 

You will leverage your outbound sales experience to drive performance by creating and testing outreach strategies to drive pipeline creation and growth, delivering world class conversion rates through-out the sales process, and exceeding new customer and revenue targets. 

Your coaching first mentality and high standard of excellence and accountability will drive the performance, growth, and development of a rapidly growing team of sales professionals. You have a track record of personal and professional excellence, a commitment to lifelong learning, and lead by example demonstrating sales excellence. 

In this role, your time will be spent interviewing and hiring, building and testing outreach strategies, reviewing and coaching calls, working on skill building with your direct reports, using data to identify trends, working on growth and development plans and ensuring no opportunity is overlooked by holding your team accountable. You will also work closely with your co-managers and team to continue to build a world class sales experience and organization. 

As a Manager, Sales, you will:

  • Drive new customer and revenue growth by setting goals and exceeding targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Demonstrate high sales acumen and mastery of your craft. This may include call reviews, roleplays, creating and delivering training, as well as demonstrating your own skills on the phone with customers. 
  • Inspire team members to go above and beyond by helping team members connect their personal goals with the company and team mission 
  • Lead weekly meetings and provide updates on monthly/quarterly targets (as well as other key metrics) and highlight opportunities for improvement. You’ll enhance our sales culture that values feedback and is highly data-driven. 
  • Utilize previous experience to continue building a “winning” sales process that meets the needs of the small, mobile services business owner. 
  • Analyze, communicate, re-communicate (and maybe even obsess a bit) over sales metrics and forecasting to understand if initiatives or programs are successful. 
  • Attract, recruit, hire and train highly motivated, mission driven, customer obsessed sales team members who will help you deliver on your goals
  • Collaborate with other sales leaders and partners (Sales Enablement, Sales Operations) to ensure all campaigns, product launches and customer initiatives are rolled-out effectively, with focus and a high-degree of alignment. 
  • Become an ambassador of our culture by being humble, supportive - and someone who truly gives a shit! 

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A proven track record in sales management ideally in a high-volume sales environment
  • A track record of ambitious career growth, exceeding targets and being able to motivate others to do the same. In order to train and lead a group, you need to have been there and done that. 
  • Experience in and a passion for driving outbound sales motions 
  • A strong ability to in sourcing, interpret, and analyze data and use it to improve performance and results 
  • A commitment and focus to coaching and development. The ability to identify strengths and opportunities in your team and understand how to best approach conversations around performance and professional development is important. 
  • Next level communication and relationship building abilities. We move fast, which means you’ll need to build a high degree of trust with peers and key stakeholders. 
  • An incredible passion for sales, our customer and a connection to our purpose - to help small businesses be more successful. 
  • A strong understanding of Salesforce, excel spreadsheets and any other methodology of getting the data you need to be successful.
