When it comes to telling the world about Jobber and moving new people through a funnel, Marketing is your department. They handle everything from spreading awareness, to answering “What’s Jobber?,” to getting new customers in the door, to turning those customers into Jobber advocates!

Lifecycle marketing is responsible for creating and advocating for best-in-class experiences that deliver the right message, to the right people, at the right time. We leverage automation and data to build highly personalized end-to-end experiences our customers want, need, and like.

The role: 

Reporting to the Acquisition Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, the Lifecycle Marketing Manager - Referrals will own and drive the long term strategic direction,  and execution of Jobber’s referral program. You will be accountable for growing our base of advocates who refer new customers to Jobber, as well as the conversion of new referrals  through the acquisition funnel. Your portfolio and program strategy will be anchored in creating experiences that are mutually beneficial to both customers and Jobber, ultimately ensuring we’re effectively capturing revenue.

You will partner cross-functionally to optimize our customer journey, including all associated customer communications. In addition, you will run experiments to explore and validate new strategies for how we can effectively move our customers through the funnel. You will represent Lifecycle Marketing across the organization and be a steward for your area of focus across the business. 

Through your work with our Business Operations, Marketing, Sales, Success, Product, and Growth teams, you'll create great user experiences at scale and conduct experiments to discover what works.

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager - Referrals, will:

  • Develop and own the Lifecycle Referral and conversion strategy, balancing the short and long term needs of the business and our customers.
  • Own key business metrics in the Referral portfolio.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of SaaS nurture and conversion levers in-and-out of product; apply expertise to steer collective efforts that boost acquisition conversion rate and revenue.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities that effectively guide customers through their journey; leveraging customer behavior, business dynamics, and market trends, you will advocate for the 'what' and 'why' of our strategic decisions.
  • Devise and spearhead hyper-personalized, multi-channel programs and experiments that deliver effective communications to the right customer at the right time.
  • Utilize data and insights to uncover opportunities for new campaigns or always-on programs, target segments, and avenues for improved personalization.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders from Growth, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Analytics, and Sales to formulate and execute shared objectives.
  • Exemplify leadership skills across the organization, while elevating the Lifecycle practice at Jobber.

To be successful, you should:

  • Have 2-3 years of direct Lifecycle Marketing experience and expertise crafting highly personalized customer programs that yield tangible business outcomes. Prior experience in customer referral programs and/or SaaS industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience in email marketing, including tracking and optimizing performance metrics. Familiarity with in-product messaging channels (such as push notifications, chat/pop up widgets, etc.).
  • Exhibit a strong sense of accountability, conviction, and motivation, taking full ownership of the outcomes tied to your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Show a genuine passion for understanding customer behaviors, barriers and motivations; leveraging these insights to deliver business value should be a driving force for you.
  • Be able to confidently navigate through ambiguity and adapt swiftly to evolving and expanding priorities.
  • Have a results-oriented mindset with a history of concentrating on strategies that generate high-impact outcomes. Your ability to guide initiatives from initial concept to successful execution is crucial.
  • Have excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting business, impact and customer data enabling you to base your decisions and plans on factual information.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration, thought-leadership and ability to influence others. These attributes are critical for driving cross-functional initiatives within our fast-paced and matrixed environment.
