This IT Service Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring IT services comply with organizational policies, industry standards and practices, and regulatory requirements delivered by internal resources, and by managed service providers. This position will work closely with IT audit and compliance teams, IT service teams, cyber-security, and relevant internal audit departments to maintain a robust compliance posture.Β  This involves developing and implementing an IT application portfolio assessment framework aimed at ensuring alignment with business strategies and improving operational efficiency.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an IT service compliance framework aligned with ITIL v3

  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute towards regular compliance audits and assessments of IT services and processes.

  • Identify areas of non-compliance and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.

  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks within IT services.

  • Collate submitted compliance reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.

  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve the compliance posture of IT services.

  • Ensures the Service & Support organization follows regulatory and quality processes when performing service functions, as well as drive best in class practices of ticket documentation.

  • Collaboration with IT service operations teams to ensure processes and procedures are documented, stored, and versioned to properly manage documentation change control.

  • Lead efforts to prepare for internal & external audit related to servicing teams and processes and serve as primary audit contact.

  • Track the development, implementation, and maintenance of DR and BCP strategies and plans.

  • Ensure that DR and BCP plans comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Oversee and report regular DR and BCP tests and drills to ensure preparedness and effectiveness.

  • Review updated DR and BCP plans based on test results and changing business needs.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams and service providers to ensure critical IT services can be recovered and continued in the event of a disruption.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, data analysis/analytics, or related fields. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

  • Knowledge of IT compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, or COBIT

  • 5-7 years in IT service management, focusing on compliance, improvement, and DR/BCP, preferably within a SIAM framework.

  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL v3 framework and its application in IT service compliance.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with all organizational levels.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high compliance standards.

  • Experience in developing and managing DR and BCP plans.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with executive management, business leaders, IT peers, and colleagues globally.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to handle broad and ambiguous scenarios.

  • Results-oriented with a track record of developing and successfully implementing plans.

  • Self-directed, motivated, and driven to achieve results and fill in gaps as needed.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience with compliance tools and software.

  • Familiarity with GxP, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in a large enterprise IT environment, especially in Pharma/CRO/Life Sciences.

  • Experience with managed service providers.
