Sudan’s Policy Advisory Group (SPAG) is an independent, voluntary-based, and non-partisan group of Sudanese experts who provide an essential practitioner perspective on emerging social, political, and development contexts. SPAG offers advice on maximising the contribution of policy advocacy and research in policymaking, toward building a new strategic roadmap for the Republic of Sudan.
Sudan Vision 2030 is a policy-based project for a multistage national strategic vision that represents Sudanese people’s aspirations for a better future. The vision aim at creates the needed shift to transform Sudan into a leading country in Africa by the year 2030. Position Title: Head, SDGs Integration Unit

THE ROLE
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Project Manager, the Head, SDGs Integration Unit support coordination across the various data and analytics engagements of the SDG Integration team, including data analysis and PMO support activities.
Responsibilities
As delegated by the Executive Project Manager, the Head, SDGs Integration Unit will work to perform the following tasks and duties:
- Contributing background research on the development and prototyping of PMO’s integrated support to various pillars, portfolio and projects on the implementation of the SDGs.
- Supporting a mapping of project activities and disruptive trends against the SDGs and helping assess their impact on the SDGs.
- Proactively engage with PMO leaders to update pages and dashboards with SDGs-related data and insights.
- Lead on coordination across engagements and partnerships with SDGs-driven agencies.
- Develop SDGs communications and outreach materials, in coordination with Corporate Communications Unit.
- Oversee and support various initiatives undertaken by the SDG Integration Unit.
- Supporting the development of policy papers, studies, reports, briefing notes, and speeches, as requested by the supervisor.

Education
Advanced university degree (or equivalent), preferably in economics, political or social science, international studies, development studies, or any other related field
Language
Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English is essential for this position.
