What we’re looking for:
As we continue to experience rapid growth, we are seeking a talented FP&A Manager who can effectively spearhead business partnering with our operations teams. In this role, you will lead the financial review of projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, including those focused on Generative AI.
As FP&A Manager, you will also be responsible for leading part of the financial planning and analysis function, providing critical insights into our company's performance, forecasting future trends, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role will require a combination of analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation and driving sustainable growth. Your strategic insights and financial expertise will directly influence key decisions at the Senior Leadership level, enabling us to optimise resource allocation, capitalise on growth opportunities, and navigate complex market dynamics with confidence.
As an FP&A Manager you’ll be:
- Leading financial review of automation, GenAI and other initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency across various areas at Tide, including customer support, KYC, transaction monitoring, engineering and other key operational functions.
- Leading part of the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes in close collaboration with Senior Leadership and business stakeholders.
- Owning, managing and continuously improving the key financial models within Member Operations used to forecast Tide’s financial performance.
- Developing detailed financial models to perform scenario/sensitivity analysis and assess financial impacts of strategic initiatives.
- Using large and complex datasets to identify risks and opportunities, as well as analysing industry trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to Senior Leadership and business stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring FP&A Analysts and Senior FP&A Analysts.
- Reviewing reports, financial models, analysis, and other work completed by FP&A Analysts and the wider Finance team.
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, compliance and financial integrity.
- Developing and implementing continuous process improvements .
- Business partnering - Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, you’ll be collaborating closely with area and unit leaders to monitor and improve financial performance.
- Working with the FP&A and Transformation teams to successfully drive roadmap items for the recently implemented financial planning system (Anaplan).
- Owning the business case tendering process for projects and initiatives in the Member Operations area - building and reviewing data driven financial models to determine financial viability (eg. ROI, Payback period) and continuous monitoring of performance/key metrics relating to those projects.
What makes you a great fit:
- You are a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- You have an undergraduate or master’s degree in finance / accounting economics /mathematics.
- You have 7+ years of relevant / transferable experience, ideally within FP&A at a high growth startup/scaleup within the financial services or technology sectors.
- You have strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and experience working with dedicated financial planning software (eg. Anaplan) and/or data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker).
- You have highly effective communication skills, with the confidence and ability to influence stakeholders at the Senior Leadership team level (eg. VP, C-Suite).
- You have a proven track record developing process improvements that drove meaningful impacts for FP&A and the business.
- You have a proven track record of providing insights from data to drive financial performance improvements.
- You possess a proactive mindset coupled with a solutions-focused approach.
- You have an exceptionally high level of attention to detail.
- You are personable and able to build trusting working relationships.
- You have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
- You have experience working at a Tech or Fintech company.
