Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher & Tracking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and tracking the movement of goods or personnel, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and prioritize incoming requests for dispatch services.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and customer demands.
  • Monitor and track the movement of vehicles, shipments, or personnel using GPS and other tracking systems.
  • Communicate with drivers, couriers, or field personnel to provide instructions, updates, and assistance as needed.
  • Handle any issues or delays that arise during transportation, such as traffic incidents or mechanical problems, and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including pickup and delivery times, routes taken, and any deviations from the original plan.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, customer service, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize dispatch processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    Stay informed about industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies related to dispatch and tracking.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using computerized dispatch systems, GPS software, and other tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
