The Channel System Engineer plays a critical role in driving success with our channel partners, acting as a trusted technical advisor and solution architect. The role supports our channel sales efforts by engaging with partners and clients to demonstrate the technical value of our products, design custom security solutions, and provide technical enablement. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external channel partners to ensure the successful integration, deployment, and ongoing support of our cybersecurity solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Pre-Sales Support:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during partner and customer pre-sales engagements, including product demos, POCs (Proof of Concepts), and presentations.
- Work closely with channel sales teams to understand customer requirements and design custom security solutions tailored to their needs.
- Address partner technical queries and concerns, offering practical solutions to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Channel Partner Enablement:
- Conduct training and technical enablement sessions for channel partners, equipping them with the knowledge to sell and implement our cybersecurity products effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create and deliver technical training materials, documentation, and toolkits for partner education.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity products, technologies, and trends to be a technical thought leader for partners.
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Work with channel partners to architect and design security solutions based on our product portfolio, including threat detection, firewall, endpoint security, and cloud security.
- Provide support in configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting solutions, ensuring seamless integration into the client’s environment.
- Technical Account Management:
- Serve as a technical advisor for key channel partners, providing ongoing post-sales support and consultation to maximize product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with partners on complex customer requirements, ensuring the right cybersecurity strategies are implemented.
- Act as the bridge between the channel partner and the internal support or R&D teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Liaise with the product management and R&D teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development.
- Support channel partners with insights and recommendations on how to optimize deployments, integrations, and configurations for maximum performance.
- Assist in the creation of technical marketing content such as whitepapers, case studies, and product guides to support channel efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering, solution architecture, or technical support roles within the cybersecurity or IT industry.
- Experience working in a pre-sales capacity with channel partners or VARs (Value Added Resellers).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity products and services, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and cloud security.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with network security technologies, system architecture, and protocols.
- Proficiency in working with Linux/Unix, Windows, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash is a plus.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNA Security, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
