Job Description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



In coordination with the Manager of Sales Compensation Administration, collaborating with the Managed Services Provider to help translate complex sales compensation plan designs into logical SPM administration logic – ability to validate SPM logic through comprehensive testing.


Assist in identifying and eliminating SPM programming defects.


Manage small team of Sales Commissions Analysts to ensure payments are accurate/timely and paid in accordance with plan provisions


Co-manage data governance on incoming sales data to ensure information is logical, complete, and accurate.


Maintains proper reports and documentation for sales compensation audit and financial reviews.


May take on additional responsibilities related to sales compensation budgeting and analytics.


Resolves exceptions and escalations related to sales compensation plan administration.


Knowledge


Knowledge of sales compensation plans including the various sales roles, sales compensation structures, sales bonuses and incentives, and sales SPIFFs.


Sufficient general knowledge to understand the booking, revenue recognition, expense, and business model issues related to sales compensation plans. 

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.



Skills


Excellent skills with financial analysis, spreadsheets, and SPM software, e.g., SAP Commissions or Xactly. 


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


Ability to make appropriate decisions and recommendations related to sales compensation issues, taking into consideration the costs, benefits, and other implications, e.g., SPM (e.g., SAP Commissions/Callidus, Xactly, Spiff).


Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including high call, email and ticket volume.
