
Overview We are looking for experienced Vehicle Mechanics to support mission-critical operations in demanding environments. These individuals will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of tactical and commercial vehicles to ensure operational readiness for deployed teams and fixed-site locations. Ideal candidates bring a strong mechanical background, experience working with diesel and gasoline-powered platforms, and the ability to operate independently in austere or rapidly changing conditions.
Travel may be required up to 75% of the time. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on tactical and commercial vehicles, including diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical components. Conduct routine inspections, services, and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles remain mission-ready. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and conduct component replacements, rebuilds, and system overhauls as needed. Inspect and maintain vehicle safety systems, including lights, emergency equipment, communications mounting points, and armor components when applicable. Maintain accountability and serviceability of tools, equipment, and repair parts; coordinate with logistics for resupply. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and fault reports in accordance with company and client standards. Support fleet readiness by ensuring vehicles meet operational, environmental, and safety requirements. Provide on-call or after-hours support when mission requirements dictate. Operate in austere environments with limited oversight while maintaining high technical and professional standards. Required Qualifications Prior U.S. military service with experience in a mechanical or maintenance MOS/AFSC (e.g., 91B, 91S, 91L, 3521, 2T3X1, or equivalent). Strong working knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, vehicle electrical systems, and drivetrain components. Ability to diagnose and repair faults with minimal external support. Experience working in remote, expeditionary, or OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environments. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and tools required for vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multi-functional team. Must be able to pass background checks, medical screenings, and deployment requirements. Preferred Qualifications Advanced military training or certifications in vehicle maintenance, recovery operations, or fleet management. Experience with tactical military vehicles (HMMWV, MRAP, JLTV, etc.) and commercial trucks/SUVs. Prior Worldwide Protective Services (WPS) or contractor experience supporting deployed operations.
