This role is a combination of some or all of the following responsibilities, depending on the specific project needs. Some of the key tasks you might work on include:

• Contribute to the development of Layer 1 blockchain protocols, focusing on scalability, security, and decentralization.
• Design and implement cross-chain solutions to enable seamless interactions between different blockchain networks.
• Develop smart contracts using Move (Aptos, Sui) and Solidity, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Monitor blockchain nodes for performance, security, and reliability, and respond to incidents or issues that may impact network stability.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and security of blockchain services, protocols, and applications.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features for blockchain-based applications.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code standards and best practices.
• Research and develop new blockchain technologies and protocols, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in blockchain systems.
• Work with the QA team to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and reliable blockchain systems.

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

Strong background in software development Proficiency in programming languages like Rust, GoLang, JavaScript/NodeJS, Solidity (this mainly depends upon the project) Experience in working with GitHub codebases Hands-on experience on open source projects Standard algorithms and data structure knowledge Advanced understanding of cryptography and smart contract development Familiarity with peer to peer networks Experience with popular blockchain technology including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more Pro-active communication and collaboration abilities with native-level proficiency in written and oral English
