Staff Product Engineer DvL (Remote - Germany)

In this role, you will lead high-impact technology initiatives, designing and developing advanced engineering solutions that shape next-generation industrial products. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and external research institutions to drive innovation, create technology demonstrators, and explore emerging system architectures. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, cross-disciplinary knowledge, and leadership skills, allowing you to influence both strategic direction and hands-on product development. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions, publish technical findings, and represent your work at conferences and industry forums. Accountabilities:

• Lead core technology initiatives and manage complex engineering projects end-to-end.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for industrial focus groups and key customers on emerging technologies and system architectures.
• Develop design concepts and build technology demonstrators, advancing advanced engineering projects.
• Drive collaboration with external institutes, universities, and research partners, coordinating joint research, grants, and knowledge transfer.
• Author technical publications such as white papers and articles, and represent the team at conferences and customer forums.
• Master’s degree or MBA in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Technical/Applied Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of experience in product engineering with a proven record of leading complex projects.

• Broad cross-disciplinary expertise, with deep knowledge in mechanical/electrical systems, switching technology, connectors, or sensors.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD for mechanical components and experience with advanced engineering design tools.
• Demonstrated innovation through patents or other intellectual property contributions.
