They are seeking a highly creative and trend-savvy Social Media Manager to take ownership of our short-form content strategy across our studio service and merchandise lines. The core mission of this role is to transform constant observation into actionable video concepts, ensuring our content is timely, engaging, and aligns with current digital trends by managing social media channels like Instagram and TikTok.
Trend Scouting & Content Strategy: Serve as the organization’s dedicated trend spotter, constantly monitoring TikTok and Instagram Reels for viral video formats, trending sounds, and emerging challenges. Idea Generation: Proactively prepare clear, detailed, and executable short-form video content ideas that cater to both the studio side (showcasing services and experiences) and the merchandise side (driving product awareness and sales). Creative Direction: Provide detailed content briefs, scripts, and comprehensive creative direction to the internal team and the dedicated Video Editor to ensure all content is produced effectively and on brand. Platform Management: Oversee the content calendar and strategy for our primary platforms: Instagram (IG) and TikTok. Performance Analysis: Track key content metrics to understand audience engagement and sentiment, using insights to continually refine and optimize the strategy. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure social media efforts support broader business objectives. Proven experience in a content strategy or social media role, with a strong portfolio of successful short-form video concepts. Deep, demonstrable understanding of the mechanics, trends, and best practices specific to TikTok and Instagram Reels. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to articulate complex content ideas into simple, clear briefs. Strong communication and collaborative skills to effectively direct and brief team members. Bonus: While a dedicated Video Editor manages the day-to-day workload, a foundational understanding of video editing principles is a strong advantage for providing clearer creative guidance.
