    Job Description

    Role Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Service Provider Data and Verification the Service Provider Product Owner will lead the development of our national Service Provider Portal and CRM system. This role is part of the Data and Analytics team that is one of three pillars on the National Program Operations team, which also includes Technical Services and Materials Services, and will serve as a critical bridge between each of the state teams, IT and Data & Analytics to prioritize the development and upgrades.

    CAA contracts with Service Providers to manage all aspects of our recycling system obligations. In order for CAA to effectively track material and ensure proper reimbursement for services, Service Providers must submit extensive data into the Service Provider Portal. This product is a critical differentiator for CAA so that we can provide the highest quality system performance data to regulators and our producers. As the Product Owner, you will be the voice of the customer and the business, translating needs into actionable product features and enhancements. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, Data & Analytics, and the state teams — to deliver a seamless, secure, and scalable portal experience for our service providers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead strategic vision for Service Provider Portal and CRM

    • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the Service Provider Portal
    • Develop strategies to collect and validate data for innovative new EPR regulations including tracking material to responsible end markets (REMs), verifying end markets meet the REM criteria, and ensuring service providers have provided all necessary data for their reimbursement claims
    • Work with IT to define and prioritize features and fixes for the Service Provider Portal, the platform for receiving and verifying service provider data, and interacting with service providers
    • Work with each state to define requirements for the data that must be submitted and validations that the system needs to perform, including monthly summary reports and data entry screens
    • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic objectives
    • Write detailed business requirements,user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
    • Collaborate with Salesforce and data processing developers to optimize platform capabilities
    • Lead all internal user acceptance testing (UAT) including writing test scenarios, training team members on UAT processes, and working with IT to create Jira tickets for priority fixes
    • Skills & Competencies
    • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for CRM and data focused applications for both internal and external users
    • Familiarity with data validation, governance, and integration best practice
    • Experience with solid waste and recycling data,and/or packaging reporting or EPR is an asset
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights
    • Experience working in an agile software development environment
    • Ability to work internally and with a broad range of interested parties to create structure where it currently does not exist
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside the organization
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, preciseness and compliance
    • Ability to engage with teams across the organization, with direct or indirect reporting lines
    • Excellent time management and organization skills,including working with remote employees across varied geographies and time zones
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment working at a rapid pace with flexibility.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’sDegree in Business, Engineering,IT, Marketing or related field preferred
    • 5+ years of experience with software product development and/or product management
    • 5+ years of experience with managing cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders both within the organization and outside users
    • Experience with Jira, Salesforce, Experience Cloud, and Workday a plus

    • Location: Fully Remote with potential for in-person
    • Compensation: Based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law, including the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location
