We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Roku development to join a high-energy, cross-functional team building next-generation streaming experiences. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Roku applications that provide seamless, scalable, and engaging interfaces for millions of viewers. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ensure high-quality, performance-optimized apps.     Accountabilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain Roku applications across multiple platforms, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
    • Contribute to the architecture, reliability, and scalability of streaming and community engagement systems.
    • Take ownership of assigned projects, leveraging data, feedback, and problem-solving to continuously improve outcomes.
    • Prototype, test, and refine new features, keeping the platform at the forefront of audience-driven entertainment technology.
    • Mentor peers and support best practices for coding standards, performance optimization, and user-focused design.
    • Diagnose and resolve memory, rendering, or streaming performance issues across Roku devices.

    5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with significant expertise in Roku development.

    • Deep knowledge of BrightScript, SceneGraph, and the Roku SDK, including production deployment experience.
    • Strong understanding of Roku channel architecture, UI principles, and performance optimization techniques.

    Experience integrating RESTful APIs, analytics, video players (RAF, HLS, DRM), and other external data sources into Roku apps. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub), and OTT release management. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance user interfaces. Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
