Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Lead Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS) to join our team in Lebanon. The role This is a high-impact leadership role. You’ll lead the engineering team, own core architecture decisions, and be deeply involved in product development. As a senior contributor and mentor, you’ll shape the technical direction of our Voice AI platform while fostering a strong engineering culture. You’ll be working in a startup environment—fast-paced, iterative, and always evolving. You need to be comfortable making decisions, taking ownership, and leading with clarity and purpose. What You'll Do Lead a team of engineers in an Agile environment, guiding them through planning, standups, and code reviews. Design and implement scalable front-end and back-end systems using Next.js, Elysia.js, and other JavaScript/TypeScript tools. Make key decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. Manage and optimize SQL databases and ensure strong data layer performance. Own the DevOps strategy, with hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch). Ensure high code quality and system reliability through best practices in CI/CD and testing. Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and help scale the engineering org. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with deep knowledge of Next.js. Solid backend experience, ideally with Elysia.js or transferable skills in similar frameworks. Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with production-grade relational databases. Proven experience working with AWS resources (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation or CDK). Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Fluency in Git/GitHub workflows and modern source control practices. Experience working in startup environments and thriving in fast-paced, high-ownership cultures. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Bonus Skills Exposure to testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK). Experience scaling customer-facing SaaS products.
