Senior Legal Counsel

Hey there, future changemaker! At Noda we’re building seamless Open Banking solutions that make payments smarter, faster, and safer. We’re now looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team and help drive the next wave of fintech innovation.

Your mission:

Provide legal advisory support across the business: commercial contracts (merchant, partner, and vendor agreements), licensing, service terms, data processing agreements, and related documentation. Lead negotiation of key commercial and strategic transactions (e.g., partnerships, integrations, and vendor/supplier agreements). Work closely with the risk, compliance, and operations functions to align legal strategy with operational requirements and regulatory obligations. Develop, maintain, and refine Noda's legal policies, procedures, and templates (contracts, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property). Provide corporate governance support: board and shareholder matters, corporate entity structure, board minutes, and resolutions. Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments in fintech/payment services, evaluate business impact, and provide proactive guidance. Serve as a strategic advisor and business partner to senior management and functional leads, balancing commercial objectives with legal risk.

Your skills and experience:

5+ years of relevant legal experience (commercial contracts + regulatory compliance), ideally within fintech/payments/financial services.

• Deep understanding of payments regulation (open banking, PSD2, e-money regulations as applicable), data protection (GDPR), AML/KYC, and fintech compliance.
• Strong commercial mindset: able to partner with business teams, support growth, anticipate issues, and provide pragmatic legal advice.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling startup/scale-up environment, with dynamic priorities and evolving regulatory context.
