Senior Engineering Manager - Developer Observability

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join the Developer Observability team and lead a group of talented engineers who are responsible for building the signal intelligence capabilities for Atlassian’s nextgen Unified Telemetry Platform; powering Atlassian performance monitoring, ML/AI observability and developer observability experiences. You will manage a team of roughly 10-15 engineers. We are excited to have you join our team! In this role, you will:

Qualifications

Expectations:

5+ years of managing a software engineering team. Ideal if previous experience in observability/analytics space.

• Strong software engineering background.
• Experience building web applications and services.
• Ability to collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to create an amazing product.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies and practical experience using those methodologies to deliver software.
• Performance management experience coaching and mentoring others to help them become better software engineers.
• Prior experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring great software engineers.
