We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer who can take strong technical ownership while contributing to long-term architectural direction and team growth. You will begin in a hands-on capacity—building backend systems, optimizing performance, and shaping core platform decisions—while gradually moving into a leadership role with broader responsibilities. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer ready to scale into a senior technical leader over time. Key Responsibilities Lead development of core backend systems, APIs, and performance-critical components Own technical architecture and contribute to the evolution of the platform's technology roadmap Build and deploy ML models at scale, ensuring efficient and reliable inference workflows Make critical architectural decisions around scalability, performance, infrastructure, and security Mentor and guide a small engineering team; promote best practices across coding, testing, and DevOps Manage infrastructure and DevOps workflows (AWS, Docker, CI/CD, GPUs for ML, GitHub workflows) Collaborate closely with product, sales, and customer teams to deliver high-value features Drive automation, process improvements, and technical excellence across the engineering org Tech Stack Backend: Python, FastAPI, Celery, REST APIs Data/Search: MySQL, OpenSearch, Redis/Valkey Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind, Framer Motion, Figma Infrastructure: AWS, Docker Swarm, S3, Cloudflare R2, n8n ML/AI: NVIDIA GPUs, Triton Inference Server, custom models Workflows: Celery distributed task system Technical Requirements 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with SaaS products Expert-level proficiency in Python, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture Strong experience with databases, caching layers, messaging queues, and search technologies Comfortable working with AWS, containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines Background in ML pipelines or GPU-based inference environments Experience with large-scale image/video processing is an added advantage Leadership & Soft Skills Strong communication, ownership mindset, and problem-solving ability Thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments with ambiguous requirements Experience mentoring developers and making high-impact technical decisions Business-aware: focuses on outcomes and value, not just implementation Aspires to take on broader technical leadership responsibilities over time Success Milestones 3 Months: Fully owns key modules; delivers improvements in performance and reliability 6–9 Months: Independently leads feature deliveries and product releases 12–18 Months: Manages technical direction, engineering operations, and major customer deployments
