This role combines creative writing and game design — you’ll be responsible for shaping narrative tone, developing key characters, and ensuring the story supports both gameplay and player motivation.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Design and Art teams to ensure narrative cohesion, emotional resonance, and alignment with player experience goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Worldbuilding: Define the unique setting for the game, including era, location, and cultural details that appeal broadly to the target audiences.
    • Character Development: Expand the main guide character with a rich personality, backstory, motivations, and voice.
    • Player Role: Clarify the player’s in-world identity, profession, and evolving relationship to the world and other characters.
    • Story Design: Create an overarching narrative that introduces mysteries gradually, builds intrigue, and allows for ongoing expansion.
    • Collaboration: Partner with design and art teams to ensure narrative content enhances the visual and gameplay experience.
    • Iteration: Incorporate internal feedback through multiple revisions, from initial pitch through final delivery.
    • Process Improvement: Help refine documentation, templates, and collaboration processes to streamline story implementation.
    • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • Proven experience in narrative design or writing for mobile or casual games.
    • Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, and dialogue in interactive formats.
    • Ability to write compelling characters, mysteries, and emotional arcs within tight constraints.
    • Comfort working with design documentation, templates, and iterative feedback loops.
    • Experience collaborating across disciplines (Art, Design, UX).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with female-dominant mobile game audiences is a plus.
    • Bonus: Background in crime fiction, mystery, or procedural storytelling.
