Market Data Engineer

Location: Worldwide JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Market Data Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure, systems, and production support. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Linux system administration, networking, and automation, along with familiarity in financial IT environments. Key Responsibilities Manage and support infrastructure systems related to market data platforms and production environments. Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and/or Python to streamline system operations. Troubleshoot and optimize network connectivity, including multicast, routing, switches, and TCP/IP protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with IT best practices. Follow ITIL processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support production systems with a focus on stability, security, and proactive monitoring. Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles. Proven expertise in Linux System Administration; experience with Windows operating systems is a plus. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Familiarity with ITIL Foundation principles and IT best practices. Prior experience in banking, investment, or financial IT environments is highly desirable. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with ITRS Geneos, EXEGY (Wombat/Vela), or Market Data platforms such as Refinitiv TREP/RTDS or Bloomberg. Exposure to AWS ECS, AWS VPC, or Google Cloud environments. Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab and automation pipelines.
