About the Role The Construction Scheduler will serve as a key member of the Project Controls team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed construction schedules that drive execution, visibility, and predictability across all phases of mission-critical and data center projects. This role requires close collaboration with project management, engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure schedule data accurately reflects progress, risks, and milestones. The ideal candidate combines deep technical scheduling expertise with analytical rigor—enabling proactive decision-making, alignment between cost and schedule, and mitigation of project risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules under the direction of senior scheduling staff.
• Support the integration of engineering, procurement, and construction activities into a cohesive master schedule.
• Collect and verify progress data from field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Update activity status, percent complete, and key milestones in Primavera P6 (or equivalent).
• Generate weekly and monthly schedule reports and dashboards for review by project leadership.
• Participate in look-ahead meetings to align field activities with the master schedule.
• Track and document schedule changes, delays, and impacts for analysis and reporting.
• Assist with schedule risk assessments and forecasting exercises.
• Learn to perform critical path and variance analyses to identify potential impacts.
• Maintain as-built data and support project closeout documentation.

Core Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and the relationship between trades and project phases.
• Foundational knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or data visualization tools a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate with project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated interest in project controls, scheduling, or cost management.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Prior experience on large commercial or industrial projects preferred; data center or mission-critical experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 (training or certification preferred).
• Understanding of earned value concepts, critical path, and schedule logic preferred but not required.
• Strong desire to grow into a mid-senior level scheduler or project controls analyst role.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position may operate in a combination of office, remote, and active construction site environments, depending on project assignment and business needs. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions safely and effectively in both professional and field conditions.

Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain when on-site. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to travel to and between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces. Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and exposure to dust, noise, vibrations, and construction-related odors. Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other personnel while maintaining situational awareness in high-activity environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots are required when visiting or working on active construction sites. This role requires visual acuity sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
