The Junior Compliance Lead supports the crucial work of maintaining eFlex's adherence to various regulatory and industry standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR. This multifaceted position assists in executing the company's overall compliance strategy, preparing for external audits, and guaranteeing that contractual and regulatory obligations are consistently fulfilled. Furthermore, this role is key to supporting eFlex's privacy and data protection efforts, safeguarding sensitive information, and fostering a culture of data security.
What You'll Be Doing Support the compliance strategy and continuous readiness for all required frameworks. Assist as the Data Protection Officer for GDPR and oversee HIPAA privacy requirements. Manage and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate with auditors and ensure all evidence is collected on time. Support vendor risk management and ensure compliance clauses are in place. Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies accordingly. Assist in cross-department coordination for compliance initiatives. Report compliance status to executive leadership. Core Requirements and Qualifications Must-Have Requirements Demonstrated ability to differentiate between SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR, understand their respective requirements, and be capable of supporting the development of policies aligned with these standards. Experience using compliance management platforms such as Vanta—or similar tools (e.g., Secureframe, Drata) that support framework-based policy development and implementation—is a must-have requirement. Foundational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 2+ years in compliance, audit, privacy, or information security, or equivalent strong foundational knowledge and a genuine capacity for growth. Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR frameworks. Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP (Preferred). Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to influence across departments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. Capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
