IT Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our IT Operations team, responsible for designing, automating, and managing scalable IT infrastructure and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in automation, IT infrastructure, DevOps practices, and cloud engineering (AWS/GCP), along with strong collaboration and communication skills. This role requires bridging IT operations, cloud technologies, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems Engineering

• Maintain and optimize secure IT infrastructure across cloud (AWS/GCP) and on-prem environments.
• Ensure high availability and performance of internal systems, applications, and collaboration tools.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance processes using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Manage identity, access, and device management solutions with compliance and security in mind.

Automation & DevOps

• Automate IT and operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to enhance DevOps workflows and deployment reliability.

Cloud Engineering (AWS/GCP) Manage, optimize, and secure workloads in AWS and GCP environments, focusing on cost efficiency. Implement cloud security best practices in line with organizational compliance standards. Troubleshoot complex issues in multi-cloud or hybrid environments. Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, and monitoring of cloud resources. IT Support & Collaboration Tools Provide Tier 3 support for critical IT systems and escalations. Manage enterprise collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian Suite, CI/CD tools). Ensure seamless integration between IT tools, systems, and internal applications. Security & Compliance Implement endpoint and cloud security controls. Support patching, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives (SOC, GDPR, ISO, etc.). Partner with SecOps and FinOps teams to ensure secure and compliant operations. Communication & Collaboration Act as a bridge between IT operations, engineering, and business teams to deliver practical solutions. Document processes, provide training, and support cross-functional IT initiatives across time zones.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

5–8 years of experience in IT Systems Engineering, Automation, or DevOps roles.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and associated automation tools.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and IT infrastructure knowledge (Linux, Windows AD, networking, monitoring).
• Proven ability to deliver infrastructure and automation projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; customer-first mindset.
• Experience in remote/distributed teams is a plus.

Bonus Points:

• Certifications: AWS SysOps/DevOps, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes or similar frameworks.
