iOS Developer

We’re looking for an intermediate iOS Developer who brings strong technical craft, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building high-quality mobile experiences. If you're a capable iOS developer with a few solid years of hands-on experience and you’re looking to deepen your expertise in a supportive, design-led, cross-functional environment, this could be the role for you. What you’ll do You’ll work as part of cross-functional teams to build native iOS applications that help our clients bring their digital products to life. You’ll contribute directly to technical delivery, take ownership of your development streams, and help ensure our mobile experiences are high-quality, performant, and user-friendly.

You will:

Develop and implement iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C Write clean, efficient, maintainable code following established patterns and industry best practices Conduct thorough testing and debugging to deliver seamless, reliable user experiences Collaborate closely with designers, developers, Producers, and Technical Leads to align on project goals and technical approach Participate in team rituals, including stand-ups, WIPs, and technical discussions Contribute to improving our iOS development practice, tools, and ways of working Produce clear, concise documentation for your code, processes, and technical decisions Stay across iOS frameworks, tools, and platform updates, bringing relevant advancements into your work

• You must already be based in New Zealand and available to work from one of our offices in either Auckland or Wellington.

You’ll bring:

2+ years of commercial experience developing native iOS applications Strong proficiency in Swift, with some experience in Objective-C Familiarity with CocoaPods, SPM and modern iOS development tools Familiarity with: Clean Architecture, Dependency injection, Unidirectional data flow, Declarative UI, Event-based processing, Modern best practices Familiarity and experience with web services (REST, JSON, XML) and mobile API integration Knowledge of Braze and Customer Engagement Platforms (CEPs) would be beneficial Understanding of performance optimisation, device constraints, and secure coding practices Strong attention to detail, clean coding habits, and a commitment to quality Confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a desire to keep growing your craft Most importantly, you’ll embody Catch’s mission: Do good by our team, do good by our clients, and deliver great work.
