    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician in Mississippi (USA). We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer support while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work independently in the field across the Southaven, MS area, contributing to efficient service operations and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is technically adept, proactive, and capable of operating various tools and diagnostic equipment. Your work directly impacts equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and client trust. This role also provides opportunities to identify new business opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Accountabilities:

    • Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment on equipment at customer or company locations.
    • Respond to customer requests professionally and ensure high levels of satisfaction in line with service guidelines.
    • Maintain and operate service vehicles in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and document service activities, maintaining accurate records for reporting and invoicing.
    • Manage time, resources, and spare parts efficiently to deliver cost-effective and timely service.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and coaching junior colleagues as needed.
    • Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to management.
    • High School diploma or GED required; technical or secondary college education preferred.

    3+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical operations.

    • Technical knowledge of equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems; diesel engines and hydraulic drives a plus.

    Ability to operate equipment safely and use diagnostic/troubleshooting tools effectively. Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. Mobile, adaptable, and capable of working in variable physical site conditions. Valid operator’s licenses for relevant equipment and ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card. Competitive hourly rate ($35.90–$41.75/hr) and $3,000 sign-on bonus.
