    Job Description

    Valiant seeks an Employee Relations Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary point of contact for addressing internal workplace complaints and escalations. Tour responsibilities will include conducting thorough internal investigations, which involve interviewing relevant parties, gathering documentation, and clearly articulating finding.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively manages employee relations issues, including conducting

    investigations, providing guidance on conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.

    • Advise, support and problem solve employee request for job accommodations,

    ensuring compliance with FMLA, applicable laws and company policies.

    • Supports the performance management process by identifying and clarifying

    problems, evaluating potential solutions, providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to supervisors and employees to improve individual and team performance.

    • Ensures compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations,

    and maintains accurate employee records.

    • Stays updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously

    enhance the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

    • Collaborates with the HR team to support the development and delivery of

    training programs that promote professional development and enhance employee skills within the construction industry.

    • Conducts Employee Relations investigations at the direction of the Human
    • Resources Director/HRBP.  This will include both CBA and non-CBA employee

    issues as needed.

    • Will work closely with the Director of HR, Director of Labor Relations, and

    the Business Line Human Resource Generalist to facilitate employee interviews

    • This position supports both CONUS and OCONUS operations so investigations may

    occasionally fall outside of normal office hours.

    • Investigation findings will be captured in a standard Investigation Report

    format to be reviewed with the appropriate HR/Labor and Business line Management.

    • Will provide recommendations for next steps, based on findings and evidence

    produced.

    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related

    field

    • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with multi-site operations with an

    employee relations emphasis

    • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations

    specific to the construction industry

    • Experience in supporting strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition,

    employee relations, performance management, and coaching

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build

    effective relationships across all levels of the organization

    • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders to drive HR

    initiatives and achieve business objectives

    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive and

    results-oriented approach

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects

    simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and other HR-related

    software

    • Comfortable with and skilled in conflict resolution.
    • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
    • Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold

    company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience with International Government Contracting
    • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
    • Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle
    • Record, and ability to adhere to the Valiant Motor Vehicle Policy
    • Minimal travel may be required for investigations and team events.

    • Clearly communicate information (both written and verbal) to colleagues and

    key stakeholders

    • Stand and/or sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time; 50%+
    • Use a computer/laptop/iPad in open office environment with natural and/or

    fluorescent lighting

    • Navigate between office building floors, and on occasion, attend off-site

    meetings

    • Lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
