Backend Developer - Automation & Scripting Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop backend automation tools using Python, Node.js, or similar languages Write scripts to automate workflows, data processing, and system integrations Work directly with stakeholders to understand the real problem and ask the right technical and strategic questions Build and maintain APIs, webhooks, and integrations with third-party systems Optimise and refactor automations to reduce load, runtime, or complexity Create clear documentation and version-controlled repositories for all automation projects Continuously test, monitor, and improve the stability and performance of automation systems Qualifications and Experience Minimum 3 years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on coding automations Proficient in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or similar) Strong experience with scripting automated tasks, data manipulation, and API integration Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment workflows Comfortable debugging and optimising existing codebases Demonstrated ability to think critically, ask clarifying questions, and deliver fast Reliable internet connection and access to a personal development-ready laptop
