Agentic AI Platform Specialist - Lead Data Engineer (Germany)

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the vision and strategy for cutting-edge data platforms in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will coordinate multiple projects, define reference architectures, and ensure governance, compliance, and sustainability across data solutions. Your expertise will enable high-performance AI and analytics initiatives, while you lead teams, mentor talent, and guide technical decision-making. Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement a lakehouse strategy, defining standards, roadmaps, and best practices for Fabric, Delta Lake, mirroring, and Unity Catalog.
• Coordinate technical aspects across multiple projects, harmonizing architectures, monitoring quality, optimizing resources, and managing costs.
• Evaluate innovative Azure features, including LakeFlow, AI-powered pipeline designers, and Fabric integrations for effective adoption.
• Conduct risk, compliance, and governance assessments, ensuring data protection and security standards are met.
• Lead, coach, and mentor teams, fostering a learning-oriented and inclusive culture.
• Participate in pre-sales and strategic consulting activities, presenting technical solutions to C-level stakeholders.

7+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data platform architecture, with proven leadership skills.

• Deep expertise in lakehouse architectures, mirroring, Delta Lake, Fabric, and governance processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, change management, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent in German and highly proficient in English, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
