Job Description

We are seeking a Translator Support for Norway to join our Support Office team. In this role, you will play a key part in helping our colleagues deliver an outstanding customer experience by ensuring that all internal communication materials are clearly translated for use across a range of internal channels. 

As a Translator, you will collaborate with various departments to translate and localize content, primarily focusing on HR-related materials. If you’re passionate about communication and love working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is the role for you! 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Translate and Localize Content: Accurately translate and adapt various materials for internal channels, ensuring content is well-suited for the Norwegian market. This includes weekly updates, training documents, and other internal communications, with a focus on HR-related topics. 
  • Ensure Consistency in Tone of Voice: Maintain and apply H&M's tone of voice across all translated materials, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with the company’s brand identity and values. 
  • Content Preparation and Proofreading: Prepare, proofread, and polish materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with company standards. Address any ambiguities or inconsistencies in content before publication. 
  • Assist in the Creation of Training Materials: Translate and support the creation of training programs, handbooks, and instructional guides that engage and inspire employees, making sure all materials are up to date and easy to understand.
  • HR Support: Support the HR Team with additional tasks across the different areas of human resources.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role as a Translator, we believe you are a team player with a proactive and helpful approach. Still, you are not afraid of working alone on a project and making decisions on your own.  

You have a positive mindset, where you are eager to reach the set deadlines. We also believe you have strong writing skills, and you can use H&M’s tone of voice to provide inspiring and meaningful materials to our colleagues. In addition, you are communicative, fostering a positive interaction with colleagues. 

What you need to succeed:

  • Exceptional Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral 
  • Experience with Communication or Linguistic 
  • Passion for communication and writing 
  • Strong attention to details 
  • Confident in producing and translating content with short deadlines 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

Additional Information

This role requires 8 hours/weekly from our Support Office or remotely.  H&M will provide you with all needed work equipment such as a laptop, headphones, mouse, etc.
