Whakarongorau Aotearoa (Whakarongorau), a social enterprise, is a virtual health and social services organisation with a proven record of connecting people seamlessly with care when they need it. Whakarongorau aims to be there when face to face health and social services cannot, providing consistent, clinically supported access to services for those in need or when people are unable to access other options due to location, time of day, financial or cultural barriers.
Mō Ngā Whare Haumanu | About Our Clinics
Whakarongorau supports a comprehensive range of clinics across Aotearoa, consisting of a mix of nurse-led and Health Care Assistant (HCA) assisted clinics. These clinics employ both in-person and remote Tākuta (Doctors) to ensure continuity of care for our registered patients, primarily serving high-needs rural communities and priority populations.

This is a contract role for 6 - 12 months and you must have availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week (Monday to Friday)
As a Tākuta (Doctor) with Whakarongorau you will:

We are seeking an experienced Tākuta (Doctor) with appropriate scope or a Mātanga Rongoā Whānui (General Practitioner) who is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. You will be passionate about delivering high-quality care to rural and high-needs communities and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure a quality service experience for both patients and the clinic team.
