About the role

Accedo is looking for a talented Software Engineer (Roku) to join its growing Engineering team in Delhi, India.. At Accedo you will be part of a diverse and multi-disciplined team, gain exposure to cutting edge technologies and can work with some of the largest global media brands in the industry. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will help transform requirements and designs into high performing and feature rich applications on a wide variety of web based platforms and devices. Primarily software development of front end applications using Roku/Brightscript. You will work on applications for world famous brands from idea stage through to market launch. Your role can also include customer discussions, requirements analysis and testing support. The role will involve a close relationship with all Accedo’s NAM and APAC based development teams.

What you’ll do

  • Development of Roku applications using Brightscript, Scenegraph.
  • Technical documentation (project-centric as well as intranet-centric, our developer knowledge base is a key part of daily work)
  • Customer configurations and deployments
  • Communication with customer technical contacts regarding development dependencies
  • Work closely with regional teams across global Accedo offices
  • Research and study new Roku OS versions as they come to market, including reviewing documentation and making recommendations for new applications and adapting existing applications
  • Other projects may be assigned at times, depending on the requirements of the business


About you:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline
  • Experience with Roku applications development is required.
  • 4+ years of Software Development experience.
  • 1-2 years experience developing Roku applications using Brightscript Scenegraph
  • Experience in other tech stacks is also beneficial (HTML/JS, Kotlin/Java, Swift/Objective-C, etc.)
  • Server-side scripting skills (Node.js, PHP, Java) also beneficial, but not essential
  • Experience using Github / Git for source code management
  • Exposure to Agile, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development is a plus
  • Self-motivated and Customer focused, with good English communication skills.
