Job Description

The Role

SEEK has recently re-shaped its Service Management function, following the APAC-wide implementation of the ServiceNow platform, and the inclusion of the Atlassian suite into the team’s remit.  

To ensure these technologies are appropriately maintained, supported and exploited, we are  looking for a technology leader to manage the systems and the associated integrations. This role is accountable for overseeing governance, development, testing and operational support of the Service Management Technology team and delivering services to all of SEEK.  

This role will build and maintain stakeholder relationships as well as manage the development pipeline and standards, influencing the strategic direction and ensuring the team is positioned to leverage the best-in-class capabilities of the platforms.

Leading a team of 3-6 technical staff responsible for development, maintenance, improvements and operational support services across the Service Management ecosystem (including ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence and all integrations). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the Service Management technology roadmap strategy and execution.  
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align and champion the deployment of technical change, continuous improvement and user adoption across the platforms.  
  • Manage the security, risks, finances, upgrades and lifecycle of the platforms 
  • Optimise value and productivity from the platforms, while ensuring that a SEEK business perspective is always front of mind  
  • Mentor and guide the team on how to design and develop the best Service Management technology outcomes (this includes developing on the ServiceNow platform)  

The Team

The Service Management Technology team is a diverse group of individuals, some located offshore, delivering the capabilities required to maintain and exploit the platform and the associated reporting. This is the technical team within SEEK’s Service Management capability. 

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a ServiceNow development team in a medium sized organisation
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian technologies, particularly Jira Cloud and Confluence
  • Experience designing and developing workflow, forms and integrations in the ServiceNow platform 
  • Experience in estimation, prioritisation, roadmapping and continuous delivery of initiatives and improvements 
  • Awareness of ITIL, Agile and associated industry trends
