 We are looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the VP Sales & Marketing, this position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the assigned territory.

Product Line: KELK and allied products for the metals rolling industry and for other applications.

Territory: A geographical area, either local or international, or a combination of both. Territories are assigned by the VP Sales & Marketing and may change from time to time.

Distribution:

Sales are made either directly (in Canada and U.S.A.) or via agents to end users and to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who sell, in turn, to end users. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's market presence within the sector.
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new business opportunities, including market research, prospecting, and lead generation in sectors tangential or adjacent to company’s existing sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to execute business strategies and meet objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide insights for product development and business enhancement.
  • Prepare and present business case proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve business development annual targets.
  • Develop and communicate probability of success / risk assessment for pursuit of new business opportunities with associated mitigations. 
  • Visiting agents to develop and improve their ability to sell and service KELK and allied products. Training of agents, visits to customers with agents and prospecting for new customers the territory. Planning of visits well in advance with the cooperation of the agents involved and with the approval of the VP of Sales & Marketing. Assuring that agents are held accountable and kept informed of changes in territories that might affect product sales.
  • Visiting end users and OEMs, prospecting for new customers.
  • Developing sales strategy for the territory with support from VP Sales & Marketing.
  • Responding to all sales and technical inquiries. Responsible for coordinating the preparation of technical proposals and price quotations.
  • Preparing reports on visits to customers and to agents according to established practice. Filing expense accounts in a timely fashion. Ensuring that Project Summary reports and other sales related paperwork is completed and kept up to date.
  • Preparing sales forecasts for the assigned territory routinely, as requested by the VP.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sales literature. Preparing presentation material and making presentations to agents, customers, and prospective customers both in the field and at KELK.
  • Substituting for other Regional Sales Managers during absences.
  • Collecting marketing information as requested by the Marketing Manager, through the VP. Attending and/or participating in industry conferences and conventions on behalf of KELK, and in general contributing to the promotion of KELK.
  • Degree in engineering or an otherwise recognized ability to understand and to communicate technical subject matter, as well as general business acumen.
  • Selling industrial equipment.
  • General understanding of mechanics, electronics and optics. Negotiating and financial skills are preferable.
