Job Description

We are looking to add a Professional Sales Executive - Books to our Australian Books Team. You will be responsible for increasing sales in our Professional book range and report to The Senior Sales Manager, Professional & Trade Books. You will join a successful team that lead by example and thrive on sharing their knowledge, in a role which offers both autonomy and variety. This is a key position for our business growth with plenty of opportunities for development and progression.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working autonomously towards achieving sales targets
  • Working with stakeholders including a wide range of authors, companies, and organisations
  • Identifying product opportunities from an extensive publishing list
  • Maintaining and updating customer information on Salesforce
  • Working positively within a small and focused team
  • Effectively developing business partnerships and creating new sales opportunities
  • Account Management - maintaining and nurturing our existing professional partnerships

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

You will have a strong interest and enthusiasm for educational books and a passion to achieve sales growth. You will drive new business by proactively working with clients and our professional authors. You will enjoy a challenge, in a role that has plenty of opportunity for development. In addition, you will:

  • Be naturally great with people and have a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Be able to build rapport with current and new customers, and foster business relationships with key decision makers over long periods of time.    
  • Have a genuine interest in books and publishing
  • Be digitally literate
  • Be well-organised, and able to prioritise and manage your time to maximise results
  • Have strong planning and database management skills.
  • Can work productively from home

Location: 

  • This role is open to candidates in all locations across Australia, you must have the right to work and live in the region you reside in
