A Day in the Life
Reporting to the Senior EMEA Customer Marketing Manager, the Principal Customer Marketing Specialist is responsible within the Diabetes business for the Nurse+ strategy and implementation, more specifically driving the Nurse+ strategy and developing, planning and implementing nurse offline and online marketing and Training and Education (T&E) activities, as well as leading DEL (Diabetes Educators Leaders Network) and FEN (Field Expert Network).
For this exciting opportunity within the EMEA Diabetes Business, we are looking for a highly motivated team player based in one of the major European countries, with a strategic mindset and a proven record of successfully implementing projects within complex environments. For this position you will work remotely, however some travelling will be expected (less than 25% of the time).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Drive the EMEA Nurse+ vision, strategy and set yearly objectives, gather, analyse and share insights, challenge the status quo with the aim to drive meaningful innovation to the way Medtronic engages with nurses (online/offline), and to address the barriers nurses face
- Develop product and services-related material and tools tailored to nurses’ needs and aligned with the nurse content strategy, collaborate with EMEA countries for their implementation and adaptation
- Contribute to the identification of influential nurses in the countries and drive EMEA Nurse ambassadors programs for products, services and other T&E or Marketing related topics, and work closely with nurses (e.g. nurse focus groups) to foster an outside-in approach
- Lead two newly formed networks: the Diabetes Educators Leaders (DEL) network, a group of influential EMEA nurses and support the establishment and publication of various consensus and other Diabetes related topics and projects, and the Field Experts Network (FEN), a group of high performing technical consultants from EMEA countries. For both networks, establish the short and long-term vision, set and follow-up objectives and cooperate with relevant internal teams
- Drive internal and external awareness for the Nurse+ activities using the full spectrum of tools and platforms available (internal: engaged, SharePoint, emails, meetings, and external: WePartner Online, social media, emails, etc)
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor or Master of Business, Marketing or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in customer marketing, customer engagement, product management, or market development
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
- Positive and resilient mindset, solution orientated as well as ownership/entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong sense of prioritization and ability to see opportunities when facing challenging situations
- Ability to cooperate and build relationships in a multicultural and matrix environment, and to work with sales teams and customers
Experience with diabetes, dealing with nurses, a second European Language and an additional education in Digital Marketing will be a plus.
