Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Interior Designer with a strong background in technical details to join our dynamic team. As a Mid-Level Interior Designer, you will be responsible for managing and executing interior design projects with an emphasis on technical aspects. Your expertise in technical details and understanding of construction and building codes will be crucial in delivering high-quality interior design solutions. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute interior design concepts and plans in collaboration with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using CAD software.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design process.
  • Conduct on-site visits and assessments to evaluate the feasibility of design proposals and identify potential technical issues.
  • Collaborate with the project team to select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture that meet both aesthetic and technical requirements.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and technologies related to interior design and construction.
  • Manage and coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, samples, and prototypes to ensure adherence to design intent and technical specifications.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules, considering both design and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and support their professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional interior design, with a focus on technical details.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for creating technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Solid knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to interior design.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision in design work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous interior design projects with a focus on technical aspects.
