The Enterprise Architect - Integration will play a crucial role in providing the technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes and architectures for all related integration and service-oriented architecture directions, standards, roadmaps, patterns and methodologies for all business systems, solutions and technologies. As a thought leader you will develop relationships, and articulate requirements which includes forming a holistic view of the strategic goals, objectives and requirements of the organisation, and translating these enterprise-wide integrations architectures into blueprints, target state architectures for guiding and influencing program outcomes across the Endeavour Group.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Architecture Development: Develop the enterprise integration architecture services, inclusive of the Service Oriented Architect (SOA) and enterprise systems and application integration in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture team practice and its operating and governance processes.

    • Develop the integration architectures and standards for the organisation, enabling the strategic business goals and objectives to align to technology outcomes, and providing high level strategic advice for future integration initiatives and its investments in IT business systems and business solutions.

    • Define and design the integration and SOA architecture platforms and business solutions to meet the identified organisational needs within the overarching program roadmap and program architecture, and act as the technical implementation lead for the program and for each related program initiative and/or stream, and to also advance the platform and application architecture for the program, and to also include new capabilities to meet future requirements.

  • Technical Leadership:  Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

    • Work with the internal program and project resources; such as other enterprise architects, program and solutions architects, developers and development teams to develop and then implement proposed enterprise-wide integration and SOA architectures and solutions within agreed timeframes, ensuring the architectures align with the organisations' enterprise-wide process, rules and standards.

    • Liaise with third parties and other vendors and act as the lead technical representative for the enterprise-wide integration and SOA initiatives advocating architectural outcomes, advising third parties and vendors on data and information architecture business systems, and solutions utilisation and adoption.

  • System Integration: Design and implement integration and SOA architecture business solutions to connect various systems and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability amongst the Endeavour Group and potentially Woolworths Limited (WOW).

  • Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural weaknesses, and propose solutions to optimise system performance and scalability.

  • Risk Management: Assess technical risks associated with proposed integration business solutions and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of integration and SOA architectures to technical solutions with business objectives and requirements.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and best practices guidelines.

  • Monitor and Maintain: Review and report to the stakeholders and customers on enterprise-wide integration architecture major programs and strategic project delivery against agreed commitments and adjust activities as necessary.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • At least 5 years experience working as an Integration Architect defining applications, integrations, infrastructure and cloud architectures, such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google cloud and hybrid services, or working in a similar capacity.

  • Experience in the following technologies/frameworks:

    •  Zachman and/or TOGAF

    • ITIL, ITSM and/or COBIT

    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

    • Digital technology and development;

    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

  • Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments. Also an understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).

  • Experience in the use of integration solutions to solve business problems in large complex organisations.

  • Understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies, such as digital, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

  • Strong awareness and understanding of hardware, networks, software technologies and applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital solutions, cyber security, and IT industry market trends.
